And The Son Becomes The Mother

Elan said "Dammit!" tonight. In context. It's time to clean up my language.

Comments:
We were actually just talking about how hilarious it was when an eighteen month-old Elan went around Irvine repeating the "S" word.

(This came up because Rachelle made a new year's resolution to not use bad language. Thoughtfully, she made the same resolution for me.)

"S" word: we're talking about 'stupid' right?

I like using the word "blank" or "expletive". But in therapy last week a guy said, about how his boss treated him, "Well, I'm not nobody's b..ch."

He said the word and then apologized for his language. I said that actually, sometimes no other word will do.

Good luck! I support you all the way.!

Who deleted a comment? Come on...
BTW- I made the same resolution as Rachelle. So far, so good. I think.

Oh, it was me. Just 'cause I was responding to something Duv wrote, and then Mom snuck in a comment before me, so my comment no longer made sense.

Y'know, like this one.

When bean was only 15 months old, he thought it was hilarious to throw his spoon off the high chair tray and make us pick it up. He would throw it and say "Spoon! Spoon!" After the fourth time, I picked it up and said, Here's your damn spoon, to which he replied in a neverending perseveration, Damn spoon! Damn spoon! . . .

Yeah, well Aunt Winnie always tells how Shlomo used to pronounce his "tr"s as Fs, and what fun it was when a truck would pass.
